Performing a hard reset will remove ALL data including the Google account, system data, application data, application settings, and downloaded applications. This may or may not wipe the contents of the SD card. It is recommended to perform a full backup before you go through the reset process, also please ensure that you have at least 3/4 charge before reset. Only perform this reset if absolutely necessary.
- Tap Settings
- Privacy
- Factory Data Reset
- Reset Phone
- Enter your password if it is required
- Tap Erase Everything to confirm your choice
Alternative Method
If you are not able to access the reset option through the phone menu, do the following to reset:
- Turn your power off, if the phone is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it
- Hold the Volume Down button
- At the same time, press and hold the Power btton until the device turns on
- You see several options presented FASTBOOT, RECOVER, CLEAR STORAGE, and SIMLOCK
- Choose Clear Storage by using the Volume Down button
- Press and Hold the Power button
- Confirm your decision by using the Volume Up for YES or Volume Down for NO
