How to Factory Reset the Samsung Intercept

 Samsung Intercept Android Phone, Grey Steel (Sprint)Performing a Factory Reset on your Samsung Intercept will remove all data including the Google account, system data, application data, application settings, and downloaded applications.  This may or may not wipe the contents of the SD card.  It is recommended to perform a full backup before you go through the reset process, also please ensure that you have at least 3/4 charge before you reset.  Only perform this reset if absolutely necessary.

Normal Method

  •  From the main home screen, tap the menu button
  • Select Privacy 
  • Tap Factory data reset
  • Read the disclaimer, then tap Reset
  • Tap Erase everything


Alternate Method

  • Turn the power off. If your Samsung Intercept is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert itHold the Volume Down button
  • Press and release the Power button
  • You are now presented with a menu that allows for Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock 
  • Select Clear Storage by pressing the Volume Down button
  • Press and release the Power button
  • Then confirm that you do want to reset by Volume Up for YES and Volume Down for NO



If you selected YES, all data including third-party applications will be deleted from the Samsung Intercept. Once the wipe is complete, the phone will reboot to its factory fresh state.
